Remember Types of Diagonals

There are seven types of diagonals. The following figure shows the types of diagonals.

It won't be easy to visualize a diagonal in the beginning. I recommend you remember four types of diagonals below.

8 x 8 diagonals

2 x 7 diagonals

I recommend you memorize it as a rectangular shape like this. A seven-squares diagonal is the most difficult to visualize.  I will explain how to visualize it in the next article.

3 x 6 diagonals

The diagonals are easy to visualize once you learn how to visualize them.

4 x 5 diagonals

A four-squares diagonal is easy to visualize, but a five-squares diagonal should be difficult to visualize in the beginning.

8 x 8

2 x 7

3 x 6

4 x 5

Remembering these types of diagonals helps you to visualize diagonals.
